Picture, say ~100,000 users, who open Drudge in the morning and forget to close it before they go to work. Throughout the day, even though the computer is unused and dormant, those nonexistent 'users' could generate several millions of phantom 'hits' to Drudge. That's why when Drudge claims that they are the number one news site based on the amount of hits that they got over a month, I don't take it seriously. It's fake news.
