Coming to terms with the creeps in the media
By Richard F. Miniter

The animus of the Democrats, the MSM, and academia toward president Trump has gone from vicious to insane to just plain creepy.  For example, Fox host Tucker Carlson faced off the other night against former Democrat congressional candidate, MSNBC personality, and impeachment advocate Krystal Ball (yes, that's her real name) here.  The woman's high staccato recitation of Trump's alleged crimes was extremely lucid, well rehearsed, and relentless.  But pressed for proof of these offenses, any sort of proof – eyewitness testimony, recordings, transcripts, a copy of the actual Comey memo – she just flamed in indignation that Tucker wouldn't just accept the word of The New York Times and Washington Post.

How I "came to terms" with 'em (for some years now):

I don't watch television news any more -- NO tv news, none at all.

I don't read "mainstream media" papers -- you know, "the usual suspects".

I don't listen to talk radio, or radio news.

I -do- visit a few websites, such as The Washington Times and Drudge.

And of course, I visit here (and TOS too, but not too much).

Guess I'm "uninformed"...  ;)

What is sad to me is that in pre-internet days people were so in the dark because they (myself included) were dependent on the people of the media. They have largely been shown to be manipulative liars.

Today they have been outed. Most people don't believe them.

Sadly, with the advent of photoshop and contrived  video footage (think Trayvon/Zimmerman) a person can't even believe what their own eyes see. I will never come to terms with that or what they write or say.

The damage done today and in the past is immeasurable.

I have taken to reading a story and waiting for the outcome.
