Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly was caught on a hot mic Wednesday telling President Trump that he should use a ceremonial saber on the press during the United States Coast Guard graduation ceremony.

Trump was presented the sword in his honor following his commencement speech. After Trump sat down, Kelly leaned over and told the president he should "use that on the press," referencing the saber.

Trump chuckled and let out a joking, "Yeah."

CNN reporter Jim Acosta noticed Kelly's hot mic moment.

300 years ago, sword fights to the death were one of a number of means of ways gentlemen settled disputes.

Even better, let's have the Trump admin and press go all Game of Thrones and clear the air once and for all.

I think it's worse that he got a diet coke and the media only got water.  Of course, the fact that they could have asked the waiter for something else never seemed to occur to them.  What a bunch of dopes. :shrug:
