Ancient Methane Seeps Tell Tale of Sudden Warming
Researchers gather around and study an ancient Arctic methane seep mound discovered in the 1970s. In the summers of 2010 and 2011, the researchers discovered more than 100 defunct seeps on Ellef Ringnes Island in Canada’s High Arctic. Credit: Derrick Midwinter
