Israeli Media: Trump Decides Against Moving Embassy to Jerusalem

President Donald Trump has decided not to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the NRG Hebrew website reported Wednesday.

Although Trump promised during the presidential campaign that he would relocate the embassy to Jerusalem, NRG reported that he changed his mind in the last few days and has informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his decision.

So ... we don't know for sure if this is true ...

...."However, the prime minister's office denied that Netanyahu has been informed of such a decision and insisted that Israel's position is that all embassies, particularly the US embassy, should be in Israel's capital - Jerusalem, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Nothing is ever as simple as it appears in the Middle East.  If the Trump administration is serious about brokering a regional peace treaty, now is not the time for such an "in-your-face" move.

And Israel, herself, may not be looking for the start of the third intifada...which such a move could reasonably begin.
