Ousted insurance exec: 'People are afraid of the administration'

Mario Molina has been the most outspoken health insurance executive in the country.

The CEO of Molina Healthcare was a vocal proponent of Obamacare, despite his company’s recent struggles in the exchange marketplaces, and has blasted congressional Republicans' repeal effort as a wrongheaded plan that will hurt poor people and the elderly.

On Tuesday, Molina was suddenly fired from the company his father founded nearly four decades ago.

What a bunch of hooey.

Exactly. If you dig a little deeper it appears these two brothers were incompetant....

Mr. Wolf said in a call with analysts that "in light of the company's disappointing financial performance, and after careful consideration and analysis, the board determined that a change in leadership was necessary to drive profitability through operational improvements and other initiatives."

He said that despite the abrupt announcement, there was no new or hidden trigger for the decision, which was part of a continuing process and represented the view that the company was "not keeping up with our competitors," he said. Mr. Wolf said he isn't a candidate for the CEO job, and that he hopes the search for a replacement for Dr. Molina will take less than six months.
