Trump: Spending bill a 'clear win'

President Trump on Tuesday trumpeted the bipartisan spending deal as a “clear win,” just hours after venting his frustration with the agreement.

“After years of partisan bickering and gridlock, this bill is a clear win for the American people,' he said during a ceremony honoring the Air Force Academy football team.

Turning to the team members, who were standing behind him in the Rose Garden, Trump said, ““This is what winning looks like, something that you folks really know a lot about.”

This would be the spending bill that blocks everything he claims to stand for?

So by a 'clear win' he must mean it is a clear win from him having to take responsibility for failure.

How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

It's a terrible spending bill.  If we somehow end up getting something much, much better in September, then fine.  But unless/until that happen, which is doubtful, this deal stinks.

I'm skeptical on this one, and don't understand why they capitulated so easily.  Maybe there's some weird Senate rule or something about this kind of spending bill that won't be applicable when they do a full appropriations bill in the fall.  But if so, they haven't done a very good job of explaining it.

Lindsey Graham even said the Democrats "cleaned our clock" on the spending bill.  Trump spin is looking more absurd by the hour.
