Fresno State Professor Who Said ‘Trump Must Hang’ Apologizes Profusely, Flees Fresno

The history professor at California State University, Fresno who appeared to advocate for the death of President Donald Trump on Twitter has apologized profusely and taken a temporary leave of absence in an undisclosed location because he now fears for his personal safety.

The professor, Lars Maischak, composed the tweets around the end of February. The tweets called for Trump to “hang” in order to “save American democracy.” “The sooner and the higher, the better.” The only “cure” for racist people is a bullet to their head, the tweets also said. Maischak used hashtags including “#TheResistance” and “#DeathToFascism.”

Maischak says he now deeply regrets composing and publishing the tweets.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the visit by the Secret Service and the possibility of him being fired and having to get an actual job are the base for his heart-felt regrets expressed above.

As a history professor,maybe he should read my new tagline and get someone with an actual mind to explain it to him.

So if I understand how it all works, I can advocate that we track down this professor, torture him for 3 days in my basement, then drag him behind a pickup truck all the way to the doorstep of Fresno State and cut him loose.  And if that in turn happens to offend anyone all I have to do is apologize.

Seems to me that just making the suggestion would be committing multiple crimes.  Apparently not because this is nothing new: at least twice a week we see stories like this come out and then are followed up shortly thereafter with an apology.  The apology magically wipes the slate clean and no crime was ever committed in the first place.

Somewhere along the line I guess the laws changed and no one ever told me.

Mostly based on stupidity. Most of the American Left either does not know, or will not admit, that Nazis were anti-Capitalism socialists, just like they are. And, for whatever inexplicable reason, they do not equate their own violence, thuggery, and hate, with their predecessors in the Nazi party. I can only guess that the American Left simply does not understand what the definition of "fascism" is. Because they are everything that fascism stands for, all the while claiming that they are fighting fascism. Confused people.
