Where would we be without Muslims? 10 things the West should say Alhamdulillah for

Whether our widely shared habit of drinking coffee in the morning, brushing our teeth after eating or enjoying a calm afternoon in an English garden, we owe many of today’s habits to Muslim inventions of the Islamic golden age.

Photo essay, don't they say the Arabs in turn got the numbers from Indian sanskrit but anyway, yes, they may have contributed but it doesn't give anyone the right to be a jackass, sadist, etc.

Funny...

This details on the origins of coffee are a little different: http://www.ncausa.org/About-Coffee/History-of-Coffee

According the above Muslims did not "invent" coffee. It came from a monk in a monastery.

And somehow I don't think using a twig to clean your teeth counts as inventing the toothbrush.

And the claim that Jabir Ibn Hayyan is responsible for plastics and other related chemistry is also not true: http://www.encyclopedia.com/people/science-and-technology/chemistry-biographies/jabir

So is short, some of the claims in the article appear to be lies and some others are stretches of the truth.
