I think it goes back to her modeling days..if you look at models on the catwalk most of them have their hands like this

It's more than models on the catwalk who are coached to pose their hands like this.  Executive business women are coached the same way by photographers.  You see it all the time in formal photos for Board books and advertising speaking engagements.  It's the universal claw.   :laugh:

And it looks natural in a business woman type of setting where they aren't photographed all the time.  But when you have picture after picture after picture of the "universal claw" it becomes very noticeable and weird looking.

It's noticeable and weird looking even in business photos.   :laugh:

Lol.  I live in a hot, muggy climate.  I repeat - hose are icky.

@Sanguine

Okay with me if you want to tank thousands of years of progress, lol.

Seriously, summer is one thing.  Going barelegged when it's cold is another.

@RoosGirl  @CatherineofAragon

Can I just settle this silly argument and let you know that you’re both wrong...  the correct answer is: stockings and garter!

Silly girls.  For all men, let me just say that I’m glad I could be of help.

Thanks for your contribution grandma. Stocking were probably great keeping you warm when you had to walk 20 miles to school in the snow back in the horse and carriage days.

@Frank Cannon

Is Blackwell still alive?

Get current.  Tim Gunn is the go-to.  Btw, he doesn't like nude stockings either, so he's wrong, too.

Tim isn't brutal and honest enough. He only tells people to make it work. Screw that.

Listen. If you were listening to some of the broads on the board you would be the laughingstock of your neighborhood dressed like some Soviet peasant woman. Because of me you will be able to maintain your hot chick status......'nuff said.

Yeah, the hot chick from the trailer park who runs around with bare legs and heels in winter & has a sofa in her front yard.

Lol, I read an article by a twenty-something who wore nude "tights" for the first time.  She was like Jeff Goldblum with the baby raptor in Jurassic Park---filled with wonder and trepidation at the amazing relic. Until she found out she liked how they looked and then kept wearing them.  I find it hilarious.

The Europeans get this one right.
