Thanks for the video -- backside is lovely as well.  So elegant and so poised...then walks Merkel...more on the frumpy looking side.  Never liked Merkel and after the poor handling of today's events and protests, I dislike her even more.

Macron's "mommie" looks like hell with her skinny legs in leggings and a tunic top. And she is supposed to be so fashionable. No one holds a candle to our first lady. Merkel looks like a manager at a hardware store.
Principles matter. Words matter.

Okay this dress more than makes up for the ugly dress...this is spectacular...

Totally agree with that!
And it does a fine job of lengthening out her torso while still looking beautiful.

I've looked a dozens and dozens of photos of the old broad Merkel and she wears nothing but pantsuits and looks just as hideous in them as someone else we know!

Melania Trump: First Lady resplendent after being TRAPPED in her hotel by violent protests

excerpt:
The stunning 47-year-old Melania Trump stepped out with her husband President Donald Trump in Hamburg today after a frightening ordeal.

The Slovenian former model had been trapped in her hotel room by violent protests raging outside.

However, the first lady didn’t appear to let the events phase her this evening.

The brunette looked beautiful in a white 1920s style flapper gown.

The dress had multiple tassels - just like gowns in the era, during which books such as the Great Gatsby are set.

Melania paired the dress with sky high white Christian Louboutin heels that appeared to be made from snake skin.

Her hair and makeup looked flawless, with her usual bouncy blow-dry intact.

Melania was left unable to leave her residence by the protests taking place today.

Distance helps. When she's on the other side of the pond, the effect just isn't the same.

Lest anyone misinterpret the above comment aimed at Merkel, I think Melania looks stunning in the flapper style dress.

Melania's Michael Kors tiered white flapper dress is available at Neiman Marcus for $2,995.00.  Sorry ladies, the Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle python pumps in white, with a 4-inch stiletto heel are currently sold out! The shoes retailed for $1,345.

I usually don't care for Michael Kors, but that dress.....

Can't pull it off. Not at five feet. I inherited a real flapper dress back in the 80s from a great aunt, and those flappers were tall, dang it. At least 5'6" or taller.

Just didn't look right on short girls. Broke my heart to sell it to a vintage store in the village.

@austingirl

I wonder how many of those women dressed with Melania in mind, knowing she would look great and wanting to compete?

Merkel is just hopelessly dumpy.  Looks like she told her hairstylist to give her the most basic, plain
cut so she wouldn't have to deal with styling it.

Off white/cream/ivory. Might have originally been white but discolored from time.

Zipper was busted, other than that it was lovely.

Love the shoes; the dress and cape, not so much.  Even at that, she still exudes elegance!
