Wow!  You actually told her that?  I would have been to afraid of her reaction.  Kudos!  @CatherineofAragon    :laugh:

@Right_in_Virginia

Lol.    :beer:

I did because it ticked me off so much.  Her entire rear end was just out there, and she behaved like it was a shock.

That's just it, though. It does take a lot of thought to dress down from the $10MM apartment set to look credibly like a Person of WalMart. Usually, there is some bit of Gucci or Nordstrom's or Louis Vuitton in there that blows their 'cover'.

@Smokin Joe

Good point.

That she said something isn't the stunning part. It was the opening act, "Was in Target", that left me sitting here with my mouth hanging open...

The Pence's are not wealthy people and all these public appearances for Karen and her wardrobe must be a real struggle for their budget.

They were both terrific during the campaign ... campaigning nearly non-stop especially in the Southeast and Midwest.   They worked very hard for the victory in November!  @mountaineer

Does she get a wardrobe stipend?  I wonder if she received one when First Lady of Indiana ...  :pondering:

No idea...but I doubt it...designers usually want to dress the FLOTUS and give/loan clothing...don't know about the VP-FLOTUS

Salary Levels. According to the Office of Personnel Management, the United States Vice Presidential Salary in 2011 was $230,700 per year. In addition, the Vice President is awarded a $20,000 expense account for costs incurred while maintaining the office of Vice President.

Not really that much given her position and demands...

I think the VP's salary should be sufficient for the Second Lady to be appropriately dressed!  She was First Lady of Indiana for 4 years, so she's had so practice in dressing for political occasions, but in looking at pictures she seems to honestly look better in more casual attire; perhaps because she is more comfortable (aren't we all?).

She has an interesting background; she's an artist, teacher and a pilot and now Second Lady!

The Vice President of the US earns $230,700.00 rent free dollars a year. As a governor, he earned a salary of $113,000 per year. Children are now grown.

This is from the fundraiser at Trump International in DC.  I think it was last night.  It was closed to the press so this may be the only photo   ^-^   That's a shame ... I would have loved to see the whole dress . . . and the color looks stunning!

I really like this dress, beautiful color and texture on display in simple classic lines.

She's 5' 5" which is average for a female; but in comparison to Melania who is 5' 11" (as tall as Mike) she's tiny, indeed!
