Gordon Ramsay Just Shut Down The Pineapple Pizza Debate

Gordon Ramsay’s opinion on food, whether it’s laden with expletives or not, is the gold standard.

So when the “Hell’s Kitchen” chef weighs in with his uncensored opinion on a hotly debated food topic ― like putting pineapple on your pizza ― we can rest assured that his word is the final word.

Of interest @Sanguine? The chef has a mouth on him for sure.

Chef's right. Pineapple on pizza is an offence to all. It's almost as bad as spaghetti on pizza.

I like pineapple on pizza. With ham.  Happy to offend.
The wife has been getting a chicken pizza with onions and green peppers that is ok.

I don't normally agree with Ramsay, but I'll make an exception since he's so clearly correct on this matter.

Pineapple on a pizza isn't even in the same category of horrible as fish on a pizza.

Pineapple and ham do go well together.

Anchovy, black olives, double mushrooms. My standard pizza request.

Came up on my feed today:

74,476 Reasons You Should Always Get The Bigger Pizza

One day last year, an engineer and I went to a pizza place for lunch. The engineer told me he wasn't very hungry, but he said he was going to get the 12-inch medium instead of the 8-inch small — because the medium was more than twice as big as the small, and it cost only a little bit more. This sort of blew my mind.

So I went big on the pizza-value question. The graph below is based on 74,476 prices from 3,678 pizza places around the country. To see how the price of pizzas changes with size — and how much more pizza you get when you get a large — drag the slider at the bottom the graph.

I made a French Onion pizza once, it was great!  No tomato sauce, just a Beef Compote mixed in with some caramelized onions.

Making a regular one today, I just got my grill cleaned up for the summer and assembled a stone Pizza Oven I just got.

Did you post a photo of it earlier?  I'd like to see it.  And, hear from you how well it works.

Sorry, the pizza oven, not the pizza.

I think I posted a link to Amazon where one can be purchased.  I had it, but hadn't unpacked and assembled it yet.  I did so yesterday, so I can probably relate the experience.  I've baked pizza on stones before, and they turn out great, but it required preheating an oven at 500 F for an hour and in the summer that'd make for an intolerable kitchen.  Hence, an "oven" than can be operated on the grill.

Exactly!  An outdoor oven sounds awesome.

There will be a delay for a few days.  I decided to get a metal pizza  peel first.  I have a wooden one, but I can see how a metal one would be better for this.  Got one on the way from Amazon.

I was looking the situation over here and have decided to make me a wooden peel. Because I am a cheep buzzard. And I can.

I was also looking at the Charbroil Infrared Bistro kettle gas grill. Wondering if I can use it like a pizza oven? Hmmm...

I make pepperoni pizza for the grandson.

I'm planning on making cotton candy for a gathering that might include my grandson.  I dunno.
