I was willing to give Trump a chance.  Sadly his true colors (orange), are shining through.

So did I.  And early on, I was happy with some of his early  decisons.  Seems the left turn the orange detractors here said would not happen, is in essence happening.

Bottom line?  His declaration of war on the FC is a declaration of war on us.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Tell me again why I should defend and excuse this bloated, fraudulent piece of crap.

For anybody who's clutching pearls over my shocking description of our honored president, let me repeat so you can clutch them harder:  he is a piece of crap.

My sentiments exactly.

And I can't feel sorry for those avid fans who are now realizing what a piece of crap he is. So many of us did warn them.  It's their fault if they didn't listen.

And let us not forget....  that orange is just a lighter variation of the color red.  Liberals exude red.

If Trump wants to declare war on conservatives (again, as during the primary), let him.  He is destroying his political capital, turning off those best served to support him and, in the process...

cutting his nose off to spite his face.  It's.... what a stuckonstupid liberal would do.

I always thought Trump was pretty much a clear slate when it came to politics, his donations to candidates proved he had no basic philosophy, just bribes to get his projects moving.   Which brings the question who hates the FC and is putting this confrontational attitude in his head,  Jared, Reince, the two Steves?
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

...and I'll bet that you wish you could post on that thread, too!

@DCPatriot

I could have done just that until recently, when I sent Robinson an email and told him exactly what he and his website have become.  I told him to remove me from that septic tank and to make sure my name wasn't on any of the lists of zotted and dead people he keeps to make it look like he has more members.

Did the Freedom Caucus stand in the way because they love Obamacare, or because  Trumpcare was too much like Obamacare, not going far enough?  Before you say you love this tweet do understand who his fight is with...his base who placed their hopes in more.
No. I loved @Polly Ticks posted picture.

His fight is with all his Personal Demons.

Exactly.  And this won't be the last time they have to pull out the smelling salts.

I was just going to say it.  He's like TOS, shocked that Trump is who he always was.

Its what really irritates me. Levin knew this was who Trump was and said so right up to the day he announced he would reluctantly support him. No shadowy power came along and changed Trump. This is who Trump has always been and we all knew it.

Nobody gets to claim shock and surprise over this.

I have to admit, it is fun watching TOS have civil war over this.

@mrpotatohead

Eventually TOS will come full circle with Trump, just as they do with almost all of their political heroes.  In a few months to a year, Robinson will be dragging out his old posts calling Trump a fraud and a charlatan.

What's far worse than those who are now realizing they were wrong, are those who rapidly change their values simply because the orange one goes a certain direction.

There are many who are in the 'well Trump knows best' crowd who will believe him and follow him no matter how left he goes. I see almost daily, especially with the healthcare mess, people who strongly opposed Obamacare and government interventionism, now saying that maybe a government program (aka TRyanCare) is probably a good idea and making excuse after excuse for why we should have it- all because of Trump.

They are basing and changing their values based on a man, not on the actual foundation of their values.

From day one, this has been a war on Conservatives and Libertarians - anyone who believes in the decentralization of power out of DC.  You have noticed all during the primary, the strongest attacks went against those with the most Conservative values, while the kid gloves were saved for the moderates and populists.

I'm keeping it handy.  All indications are that it will be relevant all too often.

Levin is smart enough to know better.  So is Dana Loesch, who researched Trump's history with organized crime and wrote extensively about it.  At the time she said she couldn't support him for that reason alone.  But she ended up doing it anyway.  She said not long ago it wasn't her damn responsibility to defend Trump or any other politician, but she pulls soft punches with him more than I'd like, and it bugs me.

Trump himself, I suspect.  He's vindictive, and doesn't like being opposed, especially in public, and especially when it results in an ugly loss.

And I get the sense that his tweet storms are a result of him stewing and fretting and getting more angry until he just has to lash out.

Levin and Loesch both took the simple 'Stop Hillary' approach but I didn't hear either be an apologist, at that, both were very critical. I think that's a pretty honest way of having dealt with it and I can't really find fault. Very different than the Hannity/Rush/JR crowd who became almost religious apostles for the Orange one.

I believe they abandoned God and their values to worship at the altar of almighty Trump.

Which may mean they never had any values in the first place.

This... THIS!

Watching Trump's pinhead "Conservative" media defenders: Hannity, Levin, Limblob, the nameless faceless idiot AM screamers from coast to coast who mindlessy signed on to defend Trump no matter what will now be forced to defend Trump attacking the Freedom Caucus.

 :2popcorn:

Have you actually listened to Levin? If you answer "Yes" then I suggest you get your auditory processing ability tested, for it is clearly defective.

The defeat served Trump with the first major legislative defeat of his presidency.

The defeat was also a blessing in disguise. No one wanted this bill except for a handful of stupid people. I also read through the list of Freedom Causus members and they won by sizable margins in their elections/reelections. Donny, not so much.

This is a war he will not win and make the rest of his agenda DOA. What a dope.

Yep.

Nuff said.

Thanks, RIV and your ilk.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

Things are just going to get much worse because the world isn't behaving the way Trump thinks it should and it isn't going to.

For instance Trump wants to snuggle up to Russia under the misguided belief that they're great white Christian allies because Putin will stroke his ego. Meanwhile just yesterday CENTCOM accused Russia of arming the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Well this pisses me off!

Mr President attack the Dems they are your true enemies.

Anyone who stops Trump from getting what he wants is his enemy, as we saw all too well in the primary.

If all I want is a warm feeling, I should just wet my pants.

The "T" word is now being thrown out.

Conservatives Committed ‘Treason’ By Opposing Unpopular Health Care Bill

Geraldo Rivera said Wednesday that a group of congressional Republicans known as the Freedom Caucus committed “treason” for opposing an extremely unpopular plan to replace Obamacare.

“I don’t blame President Trump and I don’t blame Speaker Ryan for the failure of the health care bill,” Rivera said of the American Health Care Act. “What you have there was the knifing in the back, the treason, the treachery of the Freedom Caucus.”

Thanks, RIV and your ilk.

How is it my fault @bolobaby that the Freedom Caucus has transformed Ronald Reagan's 80/20 rule into an all of nothing stone wall?

Yep....he will need them for his tax reform plans....

Remember though, he threatened if he didn't get his way on TRyanCare, he would abandon tax reform too.
