Approximately 6.5 million taxpayers paid $3 billion in Obamacare penalties for not having health insurance in 2016, according to preliminary data from the Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen.

Beginning in 2014, the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate required that Americans purchase health care coverage or pay a penalty to the Internal Revenue Service.

Democrats love to throw around numbers when defending ObamaCare.  Somehow they forgot to mention the amount of tax penalties paid.

They tell us 25 million people received new healthcare coverage.  They don't say how many lost their coverage.  Without both numbers we don't know the net gain or loss.

Of those receiving new coverage, how many got dumped into Medicare?

Of those being dumped into Medicare how many actually wanted to be dumped into Medicare?

What percentage of doctors in America refuse to take Medicare patients?

Give us all the numbers, not just those you pick and choose.

No, no you've got it all wrong. John Robert's assured us despite the language of the bill it's not a penalty. If it were a penalty it would be unconstitutional. It's a tax, and thus okey dokey. Get it right.  *****rollingeyes*****
