My understanding, which is very limited, the armies of biblical prophesy come from the north and points to Chinese more than Russians.
@Victoria33 Putin's corrupt not stupid, as much as he wants those bases in Syria, he ain't gonna mess with them Jews for it IMHO
Isaiah 17 doesn't state which kings or armies 'remove Damascus from being a city' and becoming a 'ruinous heap'. Daniel 11, in describing the 'reports from the North and East' (of Jerusalem) alarming the Beast - is when it goes out to wage war on them, but is soon obliterated himself. We know from Revelation that armies from the East are stopped at the Euphrates and number over 200 million. At some point they lay waste to an entire third of mankind. My understanding is that Damascus is already gone by that time, because in Isaiah it describes that when Damascus is laid waste, that Jacob withers and is brought to nothing. Jacob's Trouble is also often referenced as the Great Tribulation, which takes place BEFORE the Wrath of God as depicted in Revelation.
