Bannon Tells Trump: ‘Keep a Shit List’ of Republicans Who Opposed You
Trumpcare is in trouble and if it fails, Steve Bannon has pledged to remember who defied the White House.

If TrumpCare dies, the White House won’t forget who killed it — and plans on keeping a “shit list” of Republicans who stood in their way.

According to multiple Trump administration officials speaking to The Daily Beast on the condition of anonymity to talk freely, the president is angry that his first big legislative push is crumbling before his eyes—and his chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon is advising him to take names and keep a hit list of Republicans who worked for Trumpcare’s defeat.

“[Bannon] has told the president to keep a shit list on this,” one official told The Daily Beast. “He wants a running tally of [the Republicans] who want to sink this…Not sure if I’d call it an ‘enemies list,’ per se, but I wouldn’t want to be on it.”

This attitude that they can destroy any republican who opposes Trump will be his downfall.

I didn't vote for Trump but I did vote for my congressman to represent me, not to represent the party leadership or the president.

I wonder if Trump and Bannon actually think they have the political capital to make this a credible threat?

It really does sound like something Bannon might say; then again, this could be maneuvering intended to get Bannon tossed out.  If the former, it's a remarkably stupid thing to do.  And if the latter, they're playing pretty close to the edge; but perhaps they need to, if Trump's presidency is going to have any chance of succeeding.

Could be. But since Trump threatened to "primary" anyone in his party who didn't support Obamacare 2.0 it makes it rather plausible. That's the problem with making threats like that.

Yep. I won't post from the Daily Beast. Read it sometimes, sure. I read People  sometimes, too. It's too unreliable.

Having said that, Bannon is a shit. Him keeping a shitlist is perfectly believable.
