Nunes regrets briefing Trump before Intelligence panel

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said Thursday that he regrets informing President Trump of surveillance affecting the president’s transition team before he updated his panel.

“It’s a judgement call on my part,” he told reporters when asked why he spoke with Trump and the media before House Intelligence Committee Democrats.

“At the end of the day, sometimes you make the right decision, sometimes you don’t,” Nunes added, noting he could not show the panel information that was given to him by a source.

   I tough this was kindof 'tacky' briefing Trump AND the press before he briefed his own committee, but how many times did we see Cummings do this to Gowdy on the Bengazi Committee, screw em.

What this really means is that they knew the monitoring had included the Trump administration and were going to cover it up.   They were attacking him for saying something they knew to be true.  They had seen the reports, they knew they included members of Trumps incoming administration.

Since he did share the info with Trump and since Trump tweeted about it, it would have been almost immoral for him not to speak up.

I understand that he was kind of buddies with that idiot Adam Schiff who was irate that Nunes bypassed The Committee.

I wish he hadn't folded so fast.
