Ranking Democrat: 'We Do Not Yet Know Whether the Russians Had the Help of U.S. Citizens'

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the House intelligence committee, made something very clear in his opening statement on Monday: "Most important, we do not yet know whether the Russians had the help of U.S. citizens, including people associated with the Trump campaign,” he said.

"Many of the Trump's campaign personnel, including the president himself, have ties to Russia and Russian interests. This is, of course, no crime,” Schiff continued.

“On the other hand, if the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it aided or abetted the Russians, it would not only be a serious crime, it would also represent one of the most shocking betrayals of democracy in history."

The Russians probably did but not from Republicans.  As I remember it, the Communist Party USA endorsed Imam Obama.  Joe Biden's son had big business ties to the Ruskies.  Madam Clinton sent them material to make nukes.  Imam Obama promised Medvev he would be able to do more for the Ruskies in his second term.  St. Algore's family got wealthy via the communist Armand Hammer.  And on it goes.

When he comes out and says there's nothing, that's the end of it. There will be no special prosecutor, no more investigation, no more witch hunt,  the issue becomes a dead horse. Even Sessions is off the hook, and Flynn will be the Dems only altar sacrifice. It will completely box the libs into a corner because all the Trump admin has to do is say the head of the FBI investigated it and found nothing. Where do they go with it after that?

The leftists have latched onto the Russia meme as way to try and bring down the Trump admin. They are completely invested, and when it all falls apart they'll be left to pound sand. A whole bunch of political capital expended and nothing returned.

The flip side is that it now allows the Trump admin to investigate the Dems contacts with the Russians, especially on the Iran deal.
