The singer-turned UFO investigator spoke after being named UFO "Researcher Of The Year" by the International UFO Congress.

In his acceptance speech he suggested there was about to be a big leap in the quest for truth over aliens.

He has been involved in a mystery project, details of which emerged when emails he sent Hillary Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta were released by WikiLeaks during the US presidential election campaign.

The emails suggested he was in talks with significant US military sources.

DeLonge has previously made wild claims, including that he has met aliens near top-secret military base Area 51.

Given recent events and trends of the geopolitical scene, I'm not that surprised that an announcement of some import--whether overt import or obfuscated--is pending that much on the near horizon.

I've felt and observed that things in such fields were picking up speed and steam markedly the last 6+ months.

And, many purported 'revelations' have been anemic and disappointing over the years. However, I'll not be surprised if this one raises the bar, at least noticeably.

@Oceander, your derision may yet have a half-life of some usefulness. However, the era of it making more sense to some, than the facts, is drawing more and more rapidly to a close.

I do NOT see the purported pending revelation/announcement as a positive thing. The closer the oligarchy and critters get to their overt and public involvement in the affairs of the planet, the closer we are to greatly increased tyranny and far less freedoms and opportunities to live relatively unfettered with our foundational values. Once that bar has been crossed, life will never again be the same on this oblate sphereoid. .
The hostilities, acting out, violence etc. by the George Sorors et al type stooges is nothing compared to what would become fairly common-place once things are that much out in the open.

It's hard to predict how those changes will transpire.

However, I expect far more violence and far more of it unfettered (& unpunished) against those of us of traditional values--particularly 'fundamentalist' &/or Pentecostal Christian.

A lot of it will be 'merely' verbal 'violence' against our rights to our values and way of life and our rights to speak up in the public square in support of those values and rights.

But increasingly, folks will feel such outrage toward us that they'll feel compelled to be violent toward us much as the ignorant left has been doing re Trump etc.

We will increasingly live in interesting times.
