Muslim group sues Virginia county for denying mosque permit By Rachel Weiner March 10 at 11:04 AMA Muslim group is suing Culpeper County, Va., for blocking its efforts to build a mosque in the area, the second such lawsuit against the county over the issue.The Islamic Center of Culpeper argues that in refusing to grant the group a sewage permit, county officials violated federal law and the Constitution.The lawsuit filed Thursday in federal court is not the first Âchallenging Culpeper’s permit denial.
