Sen. Ted Cruz appears to be mending fences with his once fierce rival, President Donald Trump.

Cruz spent some time at the White House Wednesday and met with Vice President Mike Pence. As evening fell, Cruz and his family dined with Trump and first lady Melania Trump.

The first couple, Cruz said, were "warm and gracious."

That's nice, but it's kind of what I expected him to say.  It would've been a lot more interesting if he'd said, "That lousy SOB put a tack on my seat and wouldn't let me have seconds."
