Tinsel Town is taking the “Day Without a Woman” quite seriously.

According to a Hollywood Reporter report, many entertainment companies have lent support to the movement by holding events, focusing content on women and encouraging female staffers to take the day off. Meanwhile, celebrities have been tweeting in solidarity. 

UTA, one of the largest talent repping agencies in the world, is holding fundraisers for women-focused charities. MTV and Film Independent have automated their social media platforms (largely run by women), while Fusion TV is focusing programming on female-centered content. Digital studio New Form is shut down for the day.

I invite them to go to the first muslim dominant city in the US, Hamtramack, Michigan, and see if the future looks female since it also looks muslim.

I see that nitwit Adele tweeted out a message that women have to be twice as good at something to be thought half as well as men.  And she added that luckily, that's not too difficult. We'll see who she calls the next time she needs some work done at her mansion or her fleet of cars need fixing.  Whaddya bet it will  be males who will be fixing things for her?

I don't understand why the different ethnic/gender/LGBT grievance groups can't see that pronouncements like 'the future is female' projects the same kind of exclusivity they endlessly claim to have been victimized by.

Good point....but recognizing their own hypocrisy (or reality) has never been a strong pt. of victim-identity groups.

Fortunately, I'm so old and out of the loop I've never any of them sing and could not identify any of their songs if you put a gun to my head. I didn't even know what Adele looked like until the recent Grammys flap. And I'm not sure if I could recognize Swift either.

Women are important.

So are men.

Why don't we just have a day to be nicer to everyone day? Or why do we need a day to remind us to be nice to people in the first place?

Our parents teach us to be nice to people. The churches teach do on to others as you would want others to do on to do onto you.

They teach charity and doing small acts of kindness.

So who thought of this? Hallmark to sell more cards?

Or maybe it's because families aren't intact anymore, and people don't go to church.

As for the future being female, I do love the Lysistrata. Those women were smart as heck.
