Thank you. I'll take your word for it. It was a brief sound bite I heard and I may have gotten it wrong. So you are saying he clearly lied about it. That isn't what I expected from Sessions and unlike some I expect more from our politicians, particularly our chief law enforcement official.

Well that was my first take too but you gave me the actual quote and this part "I did not have communications with the Russians." doesn't look good to me as far as being truthful - assuming he did in fact have communications with the Russians.

Is the concept of examination of the context of a snippet of s dialog of any real interest to you? If it were, you might want to find the transcript of Sessions' exchange with Franken. I have seen it several places today.

Also Andrew McCarthy has a good piece on an aspect of the current rabid moon battery....

Getting a little snarky are we?

I'm very busy with lots of major problems in my life. I'm not spending much time keeping up with all this at the moment. My first post to this thread was simply based on a sound bite I heard. Someone else further filled that in and I thanked her for that. We can debate the meaning of 'is' if you like but all this would be much simpler if people were simply honest and not trying to cleverly evade.
