Schumer tries to throw cold water on Trump's rave reviews

President Donald Trump can say whatever he wants in speeches, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Wednesday morning, but it is his actions and the manner in which he governs that will ultimately shape what Americans think of him.

Trump’s address before a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, a State of the Union-type event, has been generally well-received for its optimistic tone, a stark contrast from the darker language he has used in the past. But Schumer said the president’s remarks will ultimately amount to little because they do not match the way he has governed.

They panned to Chuckie a couple of times during the speech.  He did not look happy.  He was left with almost nothing to criticize Trump with but... give him a couple of days.

Chuckie? That Putz. I haven't had any use for him since before the Waco hearings, but his antics during those cemented my disdain.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Well....  it's not like little chucky can accuse Trump of having been TOO statesmanlike, TOO effective in his speech, TOO impressive to American viewers and TOO in tune with the American voters (the majority, any way) that elected Trump ...

without looking like an even bigger fool than he already is.

It was the first political speech I've watched all the way through in years.  I felt I should because I knew there would be snarky comments from chuckster and his like.

It was a masterful speech and kinda changed my feelings about Trump.  I was already in support Trump camp, but after that, I moved my stuff in.
