Well said. He's really not very bright. He's still not the stupidest U.S. Senator, though. After John D. Rockefeller IV (D-NYC via Japan but nominally WV) decided not to run again, that title was assumed by Pennsylvania's Bob Casey.
Casey is definitely an idiot (and only won because he shares a name with his well-respected father, a former governor of PA), but I think you're wrong about him being the stupidest Senator. After all, Patty Murray's still there...
