Regarding a President addressing a joint session of Congress, I hope President Trump does away with this practice. I know it's tradition but it's 2017, not 1960.
The President and Vice President, the Cabinet minus one member, SCOTUS minus one member, and members of Congress are there.
It puts our government at risk. Duh.
It's best for such speeches to be delivered from the Oval Office or some other remote location.
This should be for special addresses only. They should go back to delivering State of the Union addresses in writing.
That's my opinion (I know, I know). What's yours?
