Published February 27, 2017

Spain has appointed its first Minister of Sex whose job will be to get people busy between the sheets.

The government hopes to boost Spain’s falling birth rate, which is one of the lowest in the developed world.

Prime minister Mariano Rajoy appointed Edelmira Barreira as the country’s sex tsar to get Spaniards to produce more babies.

Uhh.....  I hate to point this out, but....

I don't think the problem is 'not enough sex' goin on (especially when it comes to latin males).  It might have more to do with the feminist movement and abortions.  (duh)  Change that and you'll have more babies (another duh).

Good that they should do so, seeing how some of our "minority majority" states may be way different in 20 years, one has to remember demographics.

The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain.  In Hertford, Hereford and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly happen.

I used to go by "Lance Goodthrust" until, and much to my dismay, there was a gay porn star that started using that name...(yea i know, I know. but Homie don' swing dat way Yo!

Thanks to my Skyrim addiction I occasionally go with "Volarian Lionhard" or the "Telvani Sex Wizard". But Minister of Sex does have a certain charm.

Because...humility.

How about ending abortion?

It tends to do serious damage to the birth rate when you kill the babies before they're born.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

I'm all for ending abortion.

But I also think that abortion probably isn't the among the top reasons for decreased birth rates in first-world countries.

A bigger factor is the availability of effective birth control, which makes pregnancy a choice.  In itself birth control isn't sufficient to explain birth rates below the replacement rate.  There is a also cultural bias against pregnancy and parenthood, for various reasons.  If a preponderance of women choose career or something else over motherhood -- and it's not an irrational choice, by any means -- then that will obviously decrease the overall birth rate.

Maybe tapas and bullfighting are aphrodisiacs?

Well, I wouldn't be turned on by the latter.

Maybe they should call Dr. Ruth.

Spain actually is one of the most restrictive countries about it.

Restrictive doesn't mean Spanish women aren't still getting abortions though.  This from Wiki...

Abortion during the first trimester is legal on demand.

Is that incorrect?

Ban not only abortion, but the sale of contraceptive devices as well.

The birth rate will increase.

Quite frankly, for Western whites, this will be the only way to restore the birth rate to pre-contraceptive era levels.

It's the reason the white race is slowly but certainly "un-breeding" itself out of existence.

On the other hand, we as a species could collectively think about simply maintaining a birth rate equal to our means.

Personally I don't see the need to push for massive increases in birth rate when the number of us here now are piss poor about managing the numbers we have. When we, white people included, don't have 'projects' or 'Appalachia', when Africa doesn't have famine etc, THEN we can worry about adding to the overall population figures.

Then there's the whole issue that most parents today suck. Now before some special snowflake screams "You're supporting abortion!" No, I'm not. I'm just saying we should seriously consider the consequences of increasing the world's numbers 'just cuz'.
