NY Post: White House, State Dept. Divided Over Ambassadorships

A rift has opened between the White House and State Department over ambassadorships, pitting chief of staff Reince Priebus against Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the New York Post reports.

According to the Post, Priebus has tried to circumvent Tillerson and line up GOP loyalists as nominees for some diplomatic posts.

"Tillerson had a deal that if he were to come on board, he would have a decision on who the ambassadors were going to be," an unnamed source told the Post.

then Tillerson should hold a presser and quit with a full explanation why, naming names and who reneged on the deal.

One makes a mistake when one doesn't look at prior behavior to determine future behavior.  Trump has always made the rules and those around him follow those rules without exception, or they are out of there.  The people he put in charge of departments are not in charge of those departments, Trump is.  The Secretary of State is not the Secretary of State - Trump is.  Trump will decide who gets ambassadorships.  Priebus is carrying out Trump's orders or he wouldn't be there. 

Also, remember Trump changed his mind/message from day to day during the campaign, so no agreement he made with anyone to get his way, will stand.  The Secretary of State does not have a signed agreement with Trump as to what he agreed to with him, so he is out of luck.  The SOS is a figurehead just as every other Cabinet Member is.  Had they studied Trump's past behavior, they would have known they are place holders following orders regardless of what they think should be done. 

Every day there is turmoil around Trump and it won't change because he makes it.  He has made turmoil all his life.  He knows no other way to live.

If this isn't Fake News, Tillerson should sit down and shut up. A lot of political capitol was blown to drag his lazy fat ass over the finish line. His congressional hearings were less than stellar. Ambassadorships go to political hacks unless it is an important post in a hotspot. Those slots go to real diplomats. That is the way it is.

First off. Trump is the Chief Executive. If you don't think he's relevant to what happens in his own branch that's simply delusional.
