Mitch McConnell: "Highly Likely" Senate Intelligence Committee Will Investigate Flynn
Justin Holcomb
2/14/2017 3:30:00 PM - Justin Holcomb

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters on Tuesday that it is "highly likely" the Senate Intelligence Committee will investigate former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for his dealings with Russia and comments to President-elect Mike Pence.

"The Intelligence Committee is already looking at Russian involvement in our election. Sen. Blunt has indicated that it's highly likely they'd want to take a look at this episode as well," he said.  McConnell also noted that the committee has the power to "look at whatever they choose to."

On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that Flynn was asked to resign by President Donald Trump.

"We got to a point not based on a legal issue, but based on a trust issue with a level of trust between the president and General Flynn had eroded to the point where he felt he had to make a change. The president was very concerned that General Flynn had misled the vice president and others," Spicer said.

In other words, it's already concluded and they have their talking points ready to go.

No action on ACA yet but Mitch'll get right on the Flynn investigation.

When your name is Mitch McConnell you don't need a stinkin' majority. In fact you'd probably rather not have one.

They won't have a majority for long if they don't end obamacare.

History may indeed record the fact that the most damage done to America wasn't by Barack Obama or the Democrat Marxists, but by Mitch McConnell and the GOP Establishment oligarchy - carrying the water for the aforementioned.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

He should be investigated.  Trumps ties to Russia should be investigated also.  We need to know what they are holding over us.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

He accepted blame and responsibility for his actions and resigned, sure seems like a good reason to let it go
