It may make us feel superior to criticize his simple verbal skills, but then, how many of us are president?

He is not above criticism, he works for us.

Yeah....but.....some of these articles (by leftist sources) have gone from criticism to Nitpicking 101.  Just sayin....

Criticizing a President who reads on a first grade level would be "nitpicking"?

Trump answers critics by proving he can read and write the alphabet.

It would be nice to see some facts and actual links for the opinions you state as facts.

You all are being completely unfair. If he says he doesn't read memos, it is because he doesn't need to. He already knows what he needs to know.

Remember, he said he knew more about ISIS than our generals do. Obviously, with his knowledge like this, he doesn't need no stinkin memos.

@AbaraXas

We have proof of what he knows from his own mouth and I heard him say it:

"I know words, I have the best words."

Really, whom do they support who would have been so much better than Trump? The Bushes? Kasich? Rubio? Whom. It seems like an irrational hate; and I'm sure most of us have had feelings like that before about people. I sure was up in arms about Obama when he was first elected. Of course, I never came to like him but it wasn't such a rage.

We are all miles above Trump in our use and understanding of words.  It's amazing we are not all rich and president.

Yes, he is still a public servant and we should criticize him for genuine failings. Your hatred of Trump is so extreme that you are no longer a valid contributor to this forum.

Note to author - 57 page "memo" is not a memo.  It is a novelette.

This is how business gets done.  Short and two the point.  Give me the most likely outcome, the most pessimistic outcome and the most optimistic outcome.

Reagan was known to delegate duties.

"Ronald Reagan retired with the highest personal popularity among all Presidents of USA. One thing we can learn from his leadership is his delegation technique. As described by Peter Wallison in his new book "Ronald Reagan", "

The original piece in post 1 is the Huffington Post, pretty much an opinion piece.

The reason I posted it in the Politics category is that is the category it is posted in at HuffPo.

Why real-world governments don’t have the consent of the governed – and why it matters

A government that rules without consent isn’t necessarily a bad government. In the terminology of the current front-runner for the Republican nomination for our most powerful political office, it might even turn out to be super-classy and hugely terrific. But it should be viewed with greater suspicion and kept on a tighter leash than a government that genuinely derives its just powers from the consent of the governed.

I used to manage President Obama’s briefing materials, delivering them late in the evening through the Colonnade at the White House or down the narrow hallway aboard Air Force One.

Then you have first hand knowledge that President Obama did not show up for daily briefings.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
