Lefty Moonbats Fret Over Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s Health: ‘Can She Eat More Kale?’

February 3, 2017| by Robert Gehl

On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch for deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s long-empty seat. On Wednesday morning, liberals woke up, did the math and realized it was time to be concerned about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s fiber intake. Also bone density. Also exposure to airborne viruses (Madame Justice, what is your flu shot status?), and salmonella, and slippery ice, and also: Has anyone heard how scientists are coming along with a Zika vaccine?

“I’m very interested in this.” says Jeanette Bavwidinski, a community organizer in Pennsylvania. “I’m interested in what her daily regimen is. Like, what are you all feeding RBG? Is she getting enough fresh air? Is she walking? Is she staying low-stress? What is she reading? Is she reading low-stress things?” SFGate is reporting.

“Can she eat more kale?” asks Kim Landsbergen, a forest ecologist in Ohio. “Eat more kale, that’s all I can say. We love you. Eat more kale.

She should eat it in New Zealand as she promised to move there if Trump won.  For that reason she should recuse herself from any matter dealing with Trump.

They should also be fretting about Justice Kennedy. Rumor has it he may retire soon  possibly even before Justice Ginsburg.

As an aside, what is so wonderful about kale?   Personally, I like kale and am aware it's loaded with nutrients, but wasn't aware it had magical properties.

Rather than being just a liberal idiot, I guess they want her to be degenerated into a half-conscious, bed-ridden tube-fed driveler whose only purpose in life is to ensure Roe is not overturned.

They are well represented by Ruth.

They're leftists.  Of course kale has magical properties; everything does to them.  Good magic or bad magic, but magic nonetheless.  It's not as though they think rationally, after all.

As I recall, she has some form of cancer. If kale and high-fiber will keep the old biddy going, well, good luck.

I'm surprised they're not trying to convince her to go gluten-free.  That seems to be the panacea to all things.

Lol....I was just thinking that too.  Gluten-free and kale do seem to be the idiot left's food fad meme du jour currently.

Oh yes.  I have friends who will swear gluten free promotes weight loss and prevents or treats heart disease, cancer, diabetes and a whole laundry list of maladies.  I tried going gluten free.  Lasted  all of 2 days.  The food was nasty and I missed gluten big time.  Literally gorged myself on bread and wheat products.  Would rather stay fat. thank you very much.

Eliminating gluten is recommended for people with celiac/Crohns disease and other digestive maladies.   Not knocking victims of those illness for going gluten free.  But those who think gluten free is some magical cure for everything else are mistaken.

Dear Ruth Bader Ginsburg: If you need anything — blood, organs — take mine
 By Rachel Manteuffel

February 3 at 7:55 PM

Dear the Honorable Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,

How are you? No, really, how are you?

I’ve found myself thinking about you lately, and how things are going with you, and I just wanted you to know that I admire you very much and have some tokens of my esteem that you might enjoy.

Such as blood. If you have any need for blood, you can have the eight or so units of A-positive that are right here in my body. There’s also a gently used liver in here, lobes of it just lying around if you need them.

I am 32 years old and in good health. I take vitamins and fish oil. In the gym, I recently lifted almost three times your weight with my butt.

Do you like platelets? I have excellent platelets. I have had all my shots. If you, personally, ask me to, I will give up cheese. I can do eight push-ups and a 10-minute mile. My kidneys function well. I have two. Either one is yours for the taking. Both, if need be.

My cholesterols are in good ranges. I am confident that, whatever triglycerides are, mine are more than ample. I will be eating more vegetables, just in case. I have scads of nerves that you can have. Just take them. My skin would graft onto you beautifully. Bones, stem cells, a whole eyeball I don’t need, feet of intestines, feet. Just a ridiculous amount of health, way more than should rightly belong to someone with my standing in the world. It is not just. And I know you like justice.

I usually knock goofy fads, but I'm wondering whether the truth might be somewhere in between. My friend had to modify diet to determine what would work with her acid reflux, and she discovered that when she went gluten-free, she was in overall much better health, despite no celiac/Crohn's problem.  Whether this is because of some factor other than gluten itself, I don't know, but I'm willing to cut some slack for people who find benefits even if they don't have celiac disease.

Most of the foods that are high in gluten are also high in carbohydrates, aren't they?  I wonder if that might have something to do with it.  I limit my carbs because I can keep my weight at a healthy level without starving myself, but truthfully it isn't much of a sacrifice for me....I love meat and fish, and I'm not much of a bread or pasta eater.  I have a weakness for some junk like M&Ms and Doritos, like everyone else, but if I keep them out of the house I forget they exist.

Some guy from California joked that people out there are terrified of gluten.  He said you could rob a bank with a bagel, lol.  I knew I'd reached my limit when I saw a conditioner for hair advertised as gluten-free.  Are you going to eat it??  Stop the madness, lol.

I have Chrons. Big time. I gave up YEARS AGO on the supposed wonder diets that were supposedly good for me. I found that Chrons is so different in the way it impacts each person, the best thing to do is simply figure it out by process of elimination. "This" hurts when I eat it and "That" doesn't. For me it's pork. Which sucks as I love pork.

IMO, the last thing people should do is cut out entire blocks of things based on media hype. We evolved as we did for a reason. And it wasn't to randomly select what we should and shouldn't eat. I think the libs need to familiarize themselves with the idea of 'Omnivore".

Going organic gluten free vegan and taking certain supplements stopped my semi-aggressive sarcoma in it's tracks. I still had the little bastard removed, though. I'm now pescatarian, which means a vegetarian that infrequently eats fish. Don't knock it till you've been dealt a nasty hand  ^-^

@CatherineofAragon
Yeah, that's my suspicion, too, though she was eating other carbs.  Still, the other carbs might have been more complex carbs.  That's what I meant with "Whether this is because of some factor other than gluten itself"...it's probably not the gluten, but if just eating foods labeled gluten-free works, I say go for it!  ^-^

I was at a conference a couple of weeks ago in New Orleans.  Woo-Hoo!  Great food...so excited to hit the Vieux Carré...  until one woman in the group announced that she's a vegan.

Well, I couldn't let a lady walk the French Quarter alone at night.  She'd found a restaurant specializing in vegetarian/vegan dishes, so i agreed to escort her there.  Not terrible, but K-Paul's, it wasnt.

Could have been a nice date?

Ha!  She spent the walk arguing with me how inconceivable it was that anyone would vote for anyone but the "wonderful public servant" Hillary!   **nononono*

My favorite is a commercial I see on Youtube. Cereal. Gluten free so the 4 year old can 'Have it her way".

We are at the point now when people can throw random concepts, phrases, buzzwords and ideas together and the masses nod their heads approvingly and throw cash. Think about this a moment...

A breakfast cereal
Gluten Free
4 year old child
Have it her way.

W-T-F is the way of a 4 year old Child? What parent in their right mind thinks like this? What 4 year old child sits and thinks "You know, I have tried this way with my breakfast and pondered that way. Occasionally I seek the guidance of family. But I, a strong independent womanchild, will henceforth go to the table and have this cereal....MY WAY!

I expect Frank Sinatra did not burst into song and Trump dance in honor of the event as the cameras rolled.

I'm glad gluten free and supplements helped with your sarcoma. My whole point was that gluten free is being touted as a cure-all for everything and it isn't.  For some things, yes. But not for others.  It burns me that some guy with an MD after his name (or maybe not) writes a book making claims about this food or that diet or supplement that are false, but lo-fo types think the book is the Bible.

And I'm no fan of Dr. Oz either.  The guy is a quack.
