Thousands of Muslim protesters took to the streets of New York City on Thursday night in what they called the “bodega strike” to rally against President Donald Trump’s temporary pause on immigration from seven majority Muslim nations picked by Obama.

The protest involved Yemeni bodega grocery store owners shutting their own business from noon to 8 p.m. as they gathered to demonstrate against the travel pause, according to a Facebook page for the protest.

“This shutdown of grocery stores and bodegas will be a public show of the vital role these grocers and their families play in New York’s economic and social fabric,” the event organizers wrote on the page.

More than 1,000 stores were scheduled to take part in the protest.

“[D]uring this period, grocery store owners will spend time with their families and loved ones to support each other; many of these families have been directly affected by the Ban,” the protest organizers added on Facebook.

And the event had one more notable moment.

“The program will begin with the Muslim call for prayer and a public sundown prayer by Muslim rally participants,” they wrote.

Part of those prayers included a man on a megaphone shouting “Allahu Akbar,” which means “God is Great” in Arabic but is also a common chant heard during terrorists attacks.

There was a trove of pictures and video of the event that ended up on social media, but many started to notice something was off about them.

Solidatary for whom? Despite the talk of inclusion, one group was scarcely represented at the protest. And Twitter users were quick to take notice.

There was a smattering of women here and there, and one group clustered together, but the number was minimal enough for people not to notice them.

I may have been wrong about Trump (so far), but I seriously doubt that I was wrong when I said that the left will never cede the power they gained under Obama. Right now they are in disarray and leaderless. But within months, I fully expect to see them form militaristic alliances with the imported Muslims and go whole hog. They imported them for a reason and it wasn't to vote.

Exactly.   Back in the 60s, the Ayers anarchists planned to use the blacks to start their "revolution" or 2nd civil war.  Now, they can use both blacks AND Muslims, of which they have made shock-sure that plenty have been immigrated into the USA ....to be their 'useful idiots'.

No but I see the rulers of NYC. Sharia to follow. Well, technically it's being implemented incrementally now. One no-dog/cab, burka and missing school lunch pork chop at a time.
