Democrats appear committed to a strategy of doubling down on their promotion of angry, group identity politics, by which they will continue to alienate people in the American heartland, especially the white working class voters who abandoned them in significant numbers this past November.
I might well hope they continue down this road, as it will accrue to the benefit of Republicans, but it also risks inciting open social unrest (as we saw last night in Berkeley), which may very well be their ultimate goal.
Remember the Weather Underground? I suspect that, thanks to George Soros' $$$, they have reorganized and regrouped.... under another name, of course. But still the same violent, anti-capitalist, anti-American anarchists. And still a group of dangerous aholes. There will be an ongoing riot during ANY Republican administration by these people. Count on it.
If I were Trump, I would count on all of that great
spy tech and would find out where they're going to be rioting ahead of time. I would have the National Guard on standby .... and I would arrest each and every one of them if/when they show up to cause mayhem. I would also make it illegal to wear a mask or conceal your identity in those "peaceful protests". If you want to protest peacefully and legally, you shouldn't be afraid to or refuse to show your face. But that's just me....
