First off, Schumer, you brain-rotting parasite: the statue was a gift from France in the late 19th century. They didn't send her to lobby for middle eastern immigration, nor did we send the Eiffel Tower to broadcast calls to prayer. The statue has been appropriated by the left to undermine our civilization, rather than serve as a beacon of liberty. Second, the policy changes with regard to country of origin took place in the latter 20th century. Nobody with a grounding in American history believes mass islammigration would have been tolerated prior to then. Third, those tears have been flowing ever since 9/11. Lady liberty got an eyeful, but I don't think you were paying attention.
