“Protecting the Nation from Terrorists Attracts by Foreign Nationals” Draft Executive Order Summary

President Donald Trump has issued several Executive Orders and Memos this week regarding immigration – below is our summary of the draft order regarding “Protecting the Nation from Terrorists Attracts by Foreign Nationals”

    Recognizes the crucial role that vetting plays in detecting terrorists and keeping them from entering the U.S.
    Suspends the issuance of visas/immigration benefits to nationals of countries of particular concern.
        Including: Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.
    Mandates the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence to determine what information is needed to adjudicate immigration benefits applications.
        Draft a list of countries that do not provide said information.
