5 ways Trump wiped Obama off the White House website
Paul Singer , USA TODAY Published 4:48 p.m. ET Jan. 20, 2017 | Updated 28 minutes ago

Elections matter.

Exhibit A: Moments after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, the White House website was overhauled to wipe away all vestiges of former president Barack Obama's priorities.

Here are the big changes that caught people's attention:
1. Got rid of key environmental rules

The Trump White House website now says "President Trump is committed to eliminating harmful and unnecessary policies such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule." These are two contentious Obama administration rules that President Trump can't simply undo by himself; both will require either congressional action to change the underlying law or a long regulatory process to reverse the policy.

I've been reading the gnashing of teeth about the website change today, and I think people miss that this has been a work in progress for a while. The change took place immediately upon Trump's inauguration, which means, all of the work over the past few weeks designing, testing, and getting the changes ready were done in part, by Obama's team. Probably staffers from both working together.

It's a good thing there are articles about this. I wonder has any real person has ever been to the WH website, I know I never have and probably never will

Cultists, living in their parents' basements, probably are there regularly.  I'll bet there's updates on when the Free Kitchens and Obamafones are coming in.

Fake-nooze "journalists" whose job is to put out the Party Line without obvious official ties, probably go there daily to glean more spin and Talking Points.

I'm sure Barry was there regularly, during commercial breaks on ESPN...because, dammit, he's SO WONDERFUL.  Barry wants to learn all about Barry.

I still remember the days when some pornographer got his hands on "whitehouse.com" and shocked and confused many an unsuspecting visitor.

I think the porn was up there for, what, twenty hours...before someone noticed and complained.

...or asked if there was more.  I forget which...
