There must be something weird going around the greater Houston area.
On Friday December 30th, I got what I thought was a cold.
By Monday January 2nd, I had to go to the doctor for breathing issues and my SpO2 level dropped be;ow 90%, that fast.
( I monitor this because I have COPD).
I was off work the 1st week in January because of it.
I took antibiotics and My O2 level got back to 97% by the weekend of 1/7-1/8 so I came back to work.
By Friday the 13th, it dropped back down to 93/94% and I had to go back to the Dr. yesterday.
They took x-rays and prescribed Spiriva.
I am running about 95 to 97% now, but I still feel a bit worn out.
The thing that sucks for me is, our business took off on January 1(which is good), and now I am way behind (which is bad).
We are a start-up unit, so if I don't do the work, it doesn't get done.
In a catch-22 situation. The parent company won't let us hire help unless we get the numbers up, but now we face more work than we can produce, and we may lose customers, if we can't pull it off. I guess it is not the worst problem to have.
Anyway, enough about me, it just seems that there is a particularly ugly strain of a bug causing Pneumonia that's going around the area.
The elderly and people with COPD are going to feel it for sure, if they get it.
I was surprised at how quick it hit, and it seems to be lingering.
