On Monday, Oman said that it had accepted 10 more detainees from the US military prison facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This comes less than a week before President Obama leaves office.Oman's Foreign Ministry made the announcement via the state run Oman News Agency, claiming that it had accepted all 10 detainees at the behest of President Obama. The US Department of Defense has not yet commented on Oman’s announcement, but the prisoner transfer appears to be in line with Obama’s larger push to release Islamic terrorists from US custody. But with just a handful of days left, the president is unlikely to fulfill his campaign promise to close Gitmo. As The Daily Wire reported, the Obama administration previously released six Gitmo detainees to Oman in the summer of 2015 and another 10 Yemeni detainees to the country at the beginning of 2016. Now, exactly one year later, the United States is releasing another 10 inmates. That makes a total of 26 prisoners that Oman itself has accepted.Terrorist operatives and associates detained at the maximum security facility on the US controlled Cuban island have also been released to Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates, among others. There are now a little over 40 prisoners left in Gitmo. ...
Kinda surprised he didn't release them all.Oh, wait! There's still three more days left!
Did Obama shout, "Allah Akbar" when signing that order? The article wasn't specific about that.
Hasn't anyone ever thought to ask Obama, "What's so great about terrorists?"
