More than 30 Democratic lawmakers now skipping Trump’s inauguration

A growing group of Democratic lawmakers will boycott President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday as a protest of Trump’s worldview and his criticism of civil rights icon John Lewis, congressman of Georgia.

There are now more than 30 House Democrats — 31, at last count — who have declared that they will not attend the inauguration on Capitol Hill this week. The number rose sharply after Trump tweeted Saturday that Lewis is “all talk, talk, talk” and should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities.”

Lewis, who sees Trump’s Nov. 8 win as illegitimate because of Russia’s alleged interference in the election, is best known for leading civil rights protests in the 1960s, including the 1965 march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala., in which state troopers brutally attacked the crowd. Lewis will not attend the inauguration, he told NBC News in an interview for Sunday’s “Meet the Press.”

I just read that the racist John Lewis lied about this being the first inauguration he hadn't attended.  He appears he also didn't attend the 2000 Bush inaguration either for the same supposed reason.  Well he is a racist rat so lying is his business.

This is the same dope who claimed racial slurs were hurled at him when he and Pelosi were grandstanding through the streets before the Obamacare "vote". His claims were later shown to be a lie because the whole damn thing was on video.

   I've been a political animal for at least 40 years and I'm pushing 70 with a short stick, I've never seen an Inauguration, it's all kabuki theater.

It also perfectly encapsulates how the Leftists short term optics usually bit them on the ass. That stunt took them from the party in power to a decimated regional (city) party that can't even scrape up a viable DNC leader.

Actually....it will be a thousand times more entertaining to watch it on television, because if riots start or even worse, they will be able to 'enjoy' the mayhem they've caused by getting everyone riled up.

...why they'll even use super slo-mo cameras.    :whistle:

It is hard to believe the rats think this is a winning strategy.  They're trying to rally the troops for what?  Disruption? 

I mean, I'm no Trump fan but I'd go to his inauguration...not the Kenyan's illegitimate inauguration, but sure for Trump.

The Democrats say:

"You have to be good neighbors and work with us.  Sure we set your house on fire 8 times and poisoned your dog.  And everyone knows it was us that drew swastikas in your yard with bleach and also keyed your daughter's car twice a week whether it needed it or not.  And if your wife didn't move so fast we would have mowed her down with our car on at least dozen occasions.  And it would be wrong to hold it against us that we called the police on you for no reason several times a year.  And all those viruses on your computer, sure we did that too.  And your six trees that got accidentally cut down wasn't really an accident either.  And we're kinda, sorta, not really at all sorry about poisoning your well.  But remember, you have to be a good neighbor and work with us."

The Democrats can go straight to hell.  If it were up to me I'd punish them early and punish them often.
