Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced the results of a year-long investigation into the Chicago Police Department Friday.
“The Department of Justice has concluded that there is reasonable cause to believe that the Chicago Police Department engages in a pattern or practice of use of excessive force in violation of the Fourth Amendment,” she said.
In an official DOJ report released on the same day, a number of incidents that allegedly involved “unjustified force” were highlighted, as reported by CNN:
