My first reaction, was this sounded like a lone nut mass shooting.

But it could be anything still; convert to Islam, Puerto Rican nationalists that haven't done much in years, Cartels.

But it sounds like we was out trying to kill people randomly. Lone gunman mass shooter type.

The count is still the same, 5 dead, 8 injured.  He shot the dead in the head.  He absolutely meant to kill them.  Don't know if the 8 wounded were shot in the head, sometimes one can survive a head wound, but that is not often.

Interesting.  I just heard on CNN that he had no criminal record, but had been committed for mental issues.

Clearly both are true.

Do we know that he had it legally?  And, of course, he could have bought it before he developed certifiable mental issues.

However, Air Canada said it has no record of any passenger with the name of the suspect nor of any checked guns on any of its flights to the city.

Repeating: that Canadian Airline is saying they had no record of the suspect on their flights, I heard elsewhere too, that they did not have anyone check in guns on the flight as well.

So, we will see where this all leads to.

It will be interesting to see the timeline regarding the arrests, the commitment, and the gun purchase, but he was cleared to bring it in checked baggage on a plane.

Clearly someone screwed up.
