As did I.
Hate to say it, but it's one of the reasons I don't date anymore. I've noticed from experience that bipolar personality traits seem to be more and more common across the spectrum among women. Stability is getting harder and harder to find in the world.
In my PhD training . . . the diagnosis was manic/depressive.
And my profs always said that if you can find a plausible reason for the depression, then it's not manic/depression.
I could always find a reason. LOL.
I think a lot of labels like this get passed around as the vogue, 'in' problem to have.
Or, it's just a handy label to 'blame' every challenge of living on . . . or to blame the hard tasks of dealing with attachment disorder fall-out problems on.
I've become much less sophisticated about labels the older I've gotten.
There's a little craziness . . . moderate craziness and a lot of craziness, imho.
Every person is different. Their dynamics are at least a little different.
And much of it is selfishness, pride, insecurities, attachment disorder stuff and a refusal to do the hard work of growing up . . .
And, to be fair, many people need 'reparented' and there aren't enough good--particularly father figures--to go around.
And that doesn't even get into the demonic influences.
Pastor Henry Wright of
http://www.beinhealth.comasserts that if he has a schizophrenic in their residential program for 10 days, they can permanently cure them of schizophrenia. I'm inclined to believe him.
I don't know about brain injury causes--though I suspect Pastor Wright would merely expect God to heal that physiological problem, and He would.
