Number of fatalities among Western coaltion soldiers* involved in the execution of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2001 to 2016

The statistic shows the number of Western coalition soldiers who were killed in action in the execution of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2016. In 2013, the number of soldiers killed in Afghanistan amounted to 161 from the Western coalition. Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) is a large military operation, being carried out within the framework of the War on Terror.

Afghanistan War

As mentioned in the statistic above, the Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, which began in October 7, 2001, caused the deaths of many soldiers during the period from 2001 to 2014. The Operation Enduring Freedom is an American term for the Afghanistan War, used by the U.S. government. The Operation Enduring Freedom was a response to the terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and the beginning of the Global War on Terrorism.

In recent statistics representing the public opinion of U.S. Americans on the fighting in Afghanistan, 57 percent of the respondents stated that the fighting in Afghanistan was worth it in February 2007. Over the last few years, the Americans changed their opinion on the war in Afghanistan. In July 2013, around 67 percent of the Americans said it was not worth fighting in Afghanistan.

Although it has been nearly 15 years since the Americans started the Global War on Terror, there are still many terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. About 3,346 terrorist attacks were counted in 2010. In 2015, a total number of 1,708 terrorist attacks were reported in Afghanistan.

Due to terrorism in Afghanistan, the number of deaths has increased from 1,952 killed people in 2007 up to 5,292 killed people in 2015 by terrorists in Afghanistan. According to the Chicago Project on Security on Terrorism, about 336 people were wounded due to suicide attacks in Afghanistan, while 860 injured people were counted in Iraq in 2011.

Look at the year by year breakdown and you will see almost 4 times as many people have been killed with Imam Obama as CIC than with Bush.  Bush's time was as a war, Imam Obama's as a police action.  Only one thing can account for it and that is the rules of engagement changed to protect muslims rather than Americans under Imam Obama.

Looking at his actions over the past number of years its beyond doubt that Obama would rather see Americans die in place of almost anyone else. It fits nicely with his warped worldview - some sort of penance for being the evil force he sees us as.

I just hate seeing him go through his entire two terms without being criticized for it.

  • Cats rule. Dogs drool.
Figures aren't quite right.

While I don't know about the US, the UK and Australia both never admit to combat deaths for their, shall we say, less regular units unless there is absolutely no other option.

Training accidents is the most popular - and there has been a fair number recently.

I know a Marine who finished his second tour but refused to re-up over the ROE in Afghanistan.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
