Donald Trump says he'll write inauguration speech himself



PALM BEACH, Fla. -- President-elect Donald Trump is telling visitors to his Florida club that he plans to write his inaugural address himself and is drawing inspiration from Presidents Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy.

That’s according to a person who has spoken with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, the South Florida club where he is spending the holidays.

Trump has told visitors that Reagan had “incredible style.” He has also noted the upcoming 100th anniversary of Kennedy’s birth.

The president-elect is also spending some his time in Florida focusing on veterans’ health issues and has told visitors he plans to make that a priority in his administration.

The person who spoke with Trump insisted on anonymity in order to disclose private conversations.

I think I'll stick to my plan to watch old Law and Order re-runs instead of the ceremonies.

I was kind of hoping for a speech along Washington's Second Inaugural, 130 words. Trump could do that in 2 or 3 tweets.

Sorry Emjay, I'm too burned out on those, I'm at the point where I remember an episode from the opening scene. I do like the one where the corrupt business owner used his employees' pension to buy a race horse.

It's a work day for me, so Trump can take as long as he wants.

His specialty is incoherent run-on sentences.

This might be the most boring, long, superficial speech ever given by a President.

Needless to say, I won't be in the TV audience.......
