President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday the U.S. should enlarge its nuclear arsenal, an apparent reversal of a decades-long reduction of the nation’s atomic weaponry that came hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country’s arsenal should also be strengthened.

"The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to it senses regarding nukes," Trump said in a Twitter post.

It made sense in the 60s, 70s, and 80s but it doesn't make much sense today.

Then handful of countries with "Legitimate" nukes aren't in any rush to use them. The remaining nations like North Korea and Iran aren't rational and aren't deterred by any number of nukes.

The nutcases running the show in Iran actually want a nuclear war.

I knew he would get to nuclear build up (in his campaign he said China should have more nuclear weapons) and now he does it in a tweet that we need more nuclear weapons.  He will bring about a nuclear war using his big mouth tweets.  Got water, food?
