Obama ditching promise of “smooth” transition to Trump

President Obama is dishing out a much rockier transfer of power to Donald Trump than he received from his predecessor eight years ago, from accusing the president-elect of being aided by Russian hackers, to first lady Michelle Obama complaining that the nation has lost hope.

Despite pledging a “smooth and efficient” transition on the day after Mr. Trump’s victory, Mr. Obama has presided over an increasingly acrimonious war of words between the White House and the president-elect’s team.

The awkward hand-off of the baton stands in stark contrast to the cooperative atmosphere fostered by Republican George W. Bush’s White House in 2008 when Mr. Obama was preparing to take office, an example of unity that Obama advisers still talk about.

What a loathsome POS.  So much more concerned with himself than anything else.

I reject the use of the word 'ditching'. I, and several others, knew from the first day that Obama was not going to cooperate with the Trump transition. Obama is a liar. He is the King of Liars. We knew that he would do whatever he could to disrupt Trump regardless of anything he says. That is just who and what he is.


Obama is an arrogant and petulant child. It is naïve in the extreme to expect him to behave in a mature adult manner after not getting what he wanted in the election.


However, the thing is, Trump doesn't give one damn about Obama. So there is not really anything Obama can do that would frustrate Trump. All Trump wants from Obama is for him to pack up his shit, and get the hell out. That is pretty much the extent of Obama's participation in the transition.
