So much for the Russian hacking story. If the following exclusive report from The Daily Mail is true, then the entire Clinton narrative just fell apart.

A Wikileaks envoy today claims he personally received Clinton campaign emails in Washington D.C. after they were leaked by ‘disgusted’ whisteblowers – and not hacked by Russia.

Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan and a close associate of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, told Dailymail.com that he flew to Washington, D.C. for a clandestine hand-off with one of the email sources in September.

‘Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,’ said Murray in an interview with Dailymail.com on Tuesday. ‘The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.’

The facts will not matter - the narrative has been set by the leftist mass media and they will not be dissuaded by a trivial matter of the facts not supporting their conclusions.

We can see the same phenomenon at work in the AGW scam - people will often disbelieve facts which do not fit a preconceived narrative, no matter how strong or accurate the facts may be.  This is especially common in feeling/intuition-centered personalities, for whom facts are not as important as their own emotions and hunches in forming strong opinions.

For cacogens, facts do not matter - all that matters are feelings and intuitions. For them, words are nothing more than munitions - a means to effect an outcome like bullets, bombs and nerve-gas.  The era where words are more important as tools of communication of thoughts, information, ideas and opinions ( the era of Statesmanship) is over.

We are now deep into the era of what R. Buckminster Fuller called "soft warfare" where mass media (now including social media, which did not yet exist in his time) where the mass media do not merely report on news, they influence events - particularly political events.

The era of Soft Warfare likely began in the Viet Nam War era when a vastly superior military force (the USA and her allies) were defeated by the strategic application of mass media and the ensuing public opinion, which directly affected the political landscape in favor of the inferior forces.

Viet Nam / China could never have hoped to defeat the USA's military but because the mass media helped to generate strong popular domestic opposition to the war effort, the USA effectively surrendered (withdrew unconditionally) due to that pressure.

The mass media took that as a signal event and knew that they would never again have to simply stand on the sidelines of politics again, but could be a powerful asset (weapon) for any political entity that needed them.

As this use of media as a political weapon has evolved in the intervening decades since Viet Nam, we see an increasing tendency for many leftist mass media entities to no longer bother to conceal their bias and favoritism both against conservatives and in favor of leftists.

The entire policy-direction of the leftist mass media seems to be guided by the infamous quote of Joseph Stalin when an aid objected to his making a public statement that was not factual. The aid complained that it was not true and that the people of the USSR would not believe it. Stalin replied,

"The people will believe it. Not because it is true, but because I SAY that it is true."

The entire power of the mass media is in its ability to get people to focus on and lend importance more to what the mass media's agents SAY about the facts, than to the facts themselves.

That is incidentally, also a long time trial attorney trick - to behave as if facts which put your client/case in a bad light are unimportant, even if they are demonstrably true.
