 Democratic Group, Clinton Aides Team Up To Sink Trump Nominees

David Brock’s American Bridge has fanned out researchers to look into cabinet picks in partnership with Senate leaders, as new anti-Trump efforts emerge and Democrats formulate just how they’ll oppose him. “Our goal is to keep Trump unpopular.”

WASHINGTON — A leading Democratic opposition group, American Bridge, is gearing up to play a critical role in an effort to take down, or publicly taint, President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees by enlisting backup from Hillary Clinton’s transition team and sharing in-depth research in meetings with key senators.

The super PAC, which also has a nonprofit arm, is digging into nominees’ past statements, voting records, tax documents, and business ties in detail, passing along their findings to a group of senators and their staff members in an effort to coordinate attacks on Trump’s nominees in confirmation hearings, the group’s founder David Brock told BuzzFeed News, laying out his plans in an interview.

The good news is that people are seeing every dirty trick pursued by the Dems/Greens. Obstructionist actions are usually not popular.

   Unless Trump stumbles real bad coming out of the gate, this plan will only further alienate Dem Senators from their constituents in states Trump won for 2018.

How? Reid killed the filibuster for nominees. They have no power unless they convince a few GOPers.

Senate makes their own rules I believe, regarding internal procedural stuff like filibuster.

   That's very possible on Tillerson, but how much political capital are they (Dem Senator's up for reelection) willing to spend on Trump's Cabinet with 2018 fast approaching.
