Heitkamp is Trump's top choice for Agriculture secretary: report
By Mallory Shelbourne - 12/10/16 03:29 PM EST
(D-N.D.) has emerged as President-elect Donald Trump’s top choice for Agriculture secretary, Politico reported Saturday.
Heitkamp joining Trump's administration would require a special election to fill her Senate seat, which could flip to a Republican.
As The Hill reported Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) met with Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), an early Trump backer, to discuss a potential future in the upper chamber.

A Democrat running a $100 Billion SNAP program. I'll try and keep an open mind. At least the Dems heads won't explode on this one.
